چکیده
Abstract Background Paphiopedilum is the largest genus of slipper orchids. Previous studies showed that phylogenetic relationships this are not well resolved, and sparse taxon sampling documented inverted repeat ( IR) expansion small single copy (SSC) contraction chloroplast genomes . Results Here, we sequenced, assembled, annotated 77 plastomes species (size range 152,130 – 164,092 bp). The phylogeny based on plastome resolved except for position two unstable species. We used comparative genomic approaches to elucidate evolution have a conserved genome structure gene content in SSC region. large copy/inverted (LSC/IR) boundaries relatively stable, while region (IR/SSC) varied among Corresponding IR/SSC boundary shifts, experienced IR contraction. incorporated one six genes Unexpectedly, great variation size, order, regions was found, especially subg. Conclusions found with dense sampling, shows This an ideal system investigate dynamics evolution.

Promise and Challenge of DNA Barcoding in Venus Slipper (Paphiopedilum)
Orchidaceae are one of the largest families of flowering plants, with over 27,000 species described and all orchids are listed in CITES. Moreover, the seedlings of orchid species from the same genus are similar. The objective of DNA barcoding is rapid, accurate, and automated species identification, which may be used to identify illegally traded endangered species from vegetative specimens of P...
متن کاملModel SSC LHC
We explore the possibility that Z ′ couplings can be probed using decay modes which involve neutrinos once Standard Model backgrounds are directly determined by the data itself. For some models, sufficient statistics are available at either the SSC or LHC to render these modes useful for coupling determina-tions, provided the mass of the Z ′ is not much larger than 1 TeV, if we assume other new...

متن کاملLBNL-59384 The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Pelargonium × hortorum: Organization and evolution of the largest and most highly rearranged chloroplast genome of land plants
The chloroplast genome of Pelargonium × hortorum has been completely sequenced. It maps as a circular molecule of 217,942 bp, and is both the largest and most rearranged land plant chloroplast genome yet sequenced. It features two copies of a greatly expanded inverted repeat (IR) of 75,741 bp each, and consequently diminished single copy regions of 59,710 bp and 6,750 bp. It also contains two d...
